Work for this week (of Monday 01/28/2013).

Lesson 7.4, p398, ex 3.
-       This is a classic math problem. Click on the link below to watch a video just like example 3 on p398. Our math book uses "A" for Airplane, but in the video the teacher chose "P" for Plane. Other than this minor difference it's the exact same problem.
-       Remember that the wind will affect the  total speed (or ground speed or still air speed – all of these mean the same thing) of the plane.
-       If Plane goes with the wind, then Total Speed = speed of Plane  + speed of the Wind.... that is:  S=  P + W
-       If Plane goes against the wind, then it will go slower, so Total Speed = speed of Plane – speed of Wind.... that is: S = P – W .
-       Check out the video. It's a little complicated but hang in there. You can do it!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yla2bk7jB_A

Lesson 7.5, objective 1,
-       Read p 405, ex 1, 2.
-       Graphing inequalities (this is a quick, short video. Watch it more than once if needed).   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jU1d4D8ahYY

Lesson 7.5, objective 2, p406, ex 3.
-       Read ex 3 on p406.
